1-1-11 - Maybe? June - definately, pg 13! But the kids don't know!!!!

HI!
We are planning on celebrating our 15th anniversary at Disney! Hooray!

Here we are at Shades of Green in 2008. Here is the link to that trip..
Santa Surprise Trip, how it went...photo heavy

A million things will change by next year, so for now, here's the rough draft of a trip! We had planned it for June, but DH got pulled for AF training and won't be back until July, and then he has another eight week school after that, then we hit the start of school, and DD will be starting middle school (ack) and we don't want to take her out, and the rest of family couldn't agree on a time to go, so DH and I decided we loved the holidays, checked with dates with Shades of Green and yahoo! We picked the date. We are going for New Years! If the family can all come great! If they can't come then, well, that's okay too.

So the whole trip will be Dec 26 - Dec 30 for us at POP (?) or POR (if family comes) and then Dec 30 - Jan 2 at SoG. Noone wanted to spend Christmas away, but I am secretly planning on driving down the 25th and staying somewhere off-property so we can be there 1st thing on the 26th and get a whole Park day in! Then Jan 1st will be a full day of celebration and reception and dinner and the 2nd we want to eat at Chef Mickeys before we get on the road for the trip back.

Visiting our stone DH ordered for our Disneymoon. It is a little faded since 1995, but it is there!

This trip is over a year away so as I keep track of all the planning, all the regular activites my family attends will be dropped in here too. Hope you don't mind!

Hubs called tonight, and we talked a bit about the family coming down, and he said, "well we will be there on the 25th..."! I had to bite my tongue from saying but you said we couldn't go for Christmas Day. One of those time when its better not to know too much!
I'm jumping for joy, now if I can just push that back to maybe the 23rd, and have two full days in the Parks, use the 26th for check-ins, since we have to be at SoG when our guests arrive, and then back to the Parks for 5 more days....oh please Santa, I've been very good this year!!!!!!!

I don't know how anyone can keep things like this a secret! I just get way too excited. Plus I simply can't wait until the day before to pack. It would just be impossible for me.

This will be very exciting to follow as it unfolds!!

Our anniversary is in June, but dh got sent to training for the AF Reserves and will not be home next June. More like Mid to late August, which pushes us into the kids going back to school. His parents want to take a family trip next year, and with all the grandkids in different states, counties and schools, there is no one week that everyone can go, except the Holiday.
So, being flexible and spontaeous ((irony warning)), dh and I said, fine, we can celebrate whenever if it makes you all happy. And so we will start the New Year with a vow renewal at Shades of Green, on the uber cool date of 1-1-11.

Possible attendees.....
Us. So lets keep a tally, thats Adults=2, Children=2.

I'll work on getting photos of everyone else, but theres FIL and MIL. The Oldest BIL, his wife, and their son. The Middle BIL, his wife, and their two sons. tally: Adults=8, Children=5.

DH BFF, his wife, and their daughter.
My BFF, her husband(dh's cousin), and their two daughters. Her family is thinking about having a vacation at the same time. Maybe attending, maybe not.
Her father and mother. Her brother, his wife, and their two sons.

And last but not least.

My dad and his wife, tally: Adults=18, Children=10.

And maybe a friend (or dozen) from the boards would want to stop by too?!?!?!?!?!!? If you're already going to be at Disney, and you need a midday break anyway, why not take it at our ceremony? I need some butts to fill the chairs on my side!
